The Core Consulting Group, LLC was founded in 2021 and blends two very different areas of practice. Experience in the tax, public accounting, nonprofit and municipal finance, and public safety fiscal management spaces puts us in a unique position to offer tax preparation services to individuals and consulting services to public safety agencies across Massachusetts.
Corey J. Chambers, CPA
Founder / Principal
Corey is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and the Founder/Principal of CCG. Corey worked for a Big 4 public accounting firm specializing in audit and assurance services prior to joining a Police Department in the Greater Boston area to pursue his dream career. As a Police Officer and now Detective Sergeant, Corey has been responsible for overseeing his Department's Office of Finance & Administration since 2017 while continuing his work in public accounting and tax preparation.
In his free time, you can usually find Corey with his dog Sarge (who also happens to be CCG's Head of Security!).

John Chambers

Head of Security
With over 40 years of experience in tax preparation and the private sector, John has worked in public accounting, and healthcare, nonprofit and private sector finance. John is an avid golfer and pickleball player in his free time.
Sarge is a mixed breed rescue from Ponce, Puerto Rico and CCG's Head of Security. Although he looks like a miniature horse and weighs in at a whopping 125 lbs., he is a gentle giant who loves everyone he meets (especially those with cookies)!
